How The Next 5 uses information, device features and third-party services.

This policy is written conservatively from the application's current implementation. It should be reviewed whenever the app's services or permissions change.
Teams, preferences and local caching
The teams you select and app preferences may be stored on your device so the app can restore your choices. Fixture responses may also be cached on-device to reduce repeat requests and improve speed.
Fixture and result retrieval
The app retrieves team, fixture and result information from ESPN public endpoints. If an optional Apped backend URL is configured, ESPN requests and supported API-Football requests may pass through that backend and its shared cache. Otherwise, requests are made directly alongside the on-device cache.
Network information
When the app or optional backend contacts a data provider, normal technical data needed for a network request — such as IP address, device/network information and request time — may be processed by that provider or hosting service under its own policy.
Advertising
The current native implementation includes Google AdMob banner support on the main screen footer and in Easy View. Google may process device, advertising, consent and interaction data to deliver and measure ads, subject to your consent choices, device settings and Google's policies. Production advertising identifiers must be configured before release.
Analytics and location
The reviewed implementation does not require device location and does not show a separate analytics integration. This must be reviewed if the implementation changes.
Your choices
You can choose whether to grant optional device permissions, adjust device-level permissions later and stop using the app. Where an app stores preferences locally, removing the app may remove that local data.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through an Apped service, please contact us.
Data retention
Information is kept only for as long as needed for the purpose described, to operate and protect the service, or to meet legal obligations. Retention by third-party services is governed by their own policies.
